Betty Jean Farley Cutcher

Betty Jean Farley Cutcher, 82, of Cookeville, TN formerly of  Dyersburg, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at Bethesda Health Care and Rehabilitation in Cookeville. Mrs. Cutcher was born July 21, 1933 to the late Harry Bennon Farley and Hazel Aleene Caudle Farley Hester.  She was a retired nurse and a member of the Finley Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Calvin Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive visitors Sunday, January 3, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.

She is survived by two sons, Ray L. Cutcher, Jr. of Cookeville and Butch Cutcher and wife Martha of Munford; one sister, Sheila Ratliff and husband Kenneth of Dyersburg; six grandchildren, Tammy Turner, Michael Cutcher, Roy Lamica, Natalie Cutcher, Craig Cutcher and Kaylee Cutcher; three step-grandchildren, Gina Wright, Angie Spenet and Kim Yawn; and a number of great grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cutcher, Sr.; one son, Terry Norman Cutcher; her step-father, Buck Hester; and two brothers, Bud Farley and Clyde Farley;  a step-brother Vernon Hester and a step-sister, Doris Hester Dickerson.
