Leo Thurmond, 77, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his granddaughter's residence in Lakeland. He was retired from Bennett's Tool and Die.
Graveside services for Mr. Thurmond will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Dyer County Memorial Gardens conducted by Mr. John Huse Robinson.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 25th from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his son, Terry Thurmond of Selmer; his sister, Cathy Thurmond of Hornbeak; his brother Larry Thurmond and wife Ann, of Paris; 2 granddaughters, Heather Crosno, Amanda Owens; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Reasearch Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
