Lula Mae Mancell, 86, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Lauderdale Community Hospital in Ripley. Born September 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Carrie Williams Sanderson. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Shannon Saliba with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Conder, Tim Conder, David Rodenhouser, Derrick Rodenhouser, Scott Akers and Roy Akers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
She is survived by her two sons, Lynn Mancell (Dale) of Dyersburg, Jerry Mancell of Greenfield; 3 sisters, Mary Rose of Florida, Jean Porter of Halls, Dale Akers (Dave) of Finley; 1 brother, J.L. Sanderson (Linda) of Unionville; 5 grandchildren Jeremy Mancell, Hollie Saliba, Justin Mancell, Rose Flowers and Jared Mancell, and 4 great-grandchildren, Skyler Fowlkes, Eli Saliba, Justiss Glenn Flowers and J’Amarha Flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Franklin Mancell; and 2 sisters, Estelle Hunt and Thelma Rodenhauser.
