Alice Butz

Alice Butz, 77, passed from this life Sunday February 14, 2016. She was born in Lake County, TN on June 21, 1938 to Charles and Pauline (Arrington) Leary. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen Butz of Pierceton, IN & sister Mildred Campbell.

She is survived by daughters Beth (Scott) Turner, Carol (Jon) Esenwein of Pierceton, IN, Kimberlee (Keith) Winnett of Fort Wayne, IN and son Benjamin Butz also of Pierceton, IN. She leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren & five great-grandchildren with two new additions coming soon.

Alice was an active Red Cross volunteer for many years, attended Baptist and Lutheran churches in Tennessee and Indiana and was a member of a Red Hat Society in Florida.

She was known to all as a compassionate caregiver, hospitable wife and mother, and loved by many.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Paul Adams with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.    

The family will receive friends Friday, February 19th from 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.
