Dorothy Jean Payne

July 15, 1931 — February 24, 2016

 

Dorothy Payne, 84, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.   Born July 15, 1931 in Dyersburg, she was the daughter of the late Dee and Nona Ball England. She was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency.  

                           

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2016 Graveside at Fairview Cemetery conducted by Reverend Charlie Halliburton.   

 

The family will receive friends Friday from 12 Noon until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Nolen (Gary) of Dyersburg, Lori Brown (Whendy Merryman) of Memphis; and 3 grandchildren, Adam Nolen (Crystal), Bennett Brown, Mason Brown and her niece Deirdre England Pate of Arizona.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Payne (6/4/2006) and 1 brother, Gerald England.
