Patricia R. Vowell

Patricia R. Vowell, 64, of Olive Branch, MS, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital.  Born December 30, 1951 to the late Wilson Elehue Richard and Evelyn Sue Eldridge, she was a retired nurse’s aid.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Nathe Ozment.  Interment will be in West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 1:15 pm.  

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Vowell of Olive Branch, MS; her daughter, Angelina VanTassell (Howie) of Dyersburg; her son, James Shawver (Penny) of Millsfield; her sister, Kattie Czopkiewicz of Chicago, IL; and six grandchildren, James Anthony Shawver, Kelsey Shawver, Gregory Gibbons, Jeffrey Gibbons, Katherine VanTassell and Brianna Hedgepath.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Bearden Frazier and her grandson, Wilson VanTassell.

The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
