Curtis Elwood Perry, 77, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his residence. Born August 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Elva and Ruth Vaughn Perry. He was a retired Tool & Die Maker with Borg Warner. Mr. Perry was a member of Holy Hills Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Marines.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Jeremy Ballinger with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Alexander, James Jones, Bryan Jones, Justin Jones, Kenneth Perry and Hunter Perry.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 27th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda L. Perry; two daughters, Teresa Alexander (Paul), Christine Jones, both of Dyersburg; one son, Kenneth Perry of Dyersburg; two sisters, Linda Kay Sims of Manila, AR, Stella Dawn Butler (Michael) of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren, James Jones, Brandon Alexander, Bryan Jones, Justin Jones, Nikki Alexander, Hunter Perry, Hayden Perry; and six great-grandchildren, Madelyne Jones, Ariel Jones, Brecklyn Jones, Drake Mallard Jones, Kallen Jones and Lillian Alexander.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Melva Lucille Hardesty and Dorothy May Perry Janet.
