Jan King, 72, of Bogota, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at her residence. Born July 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Wick and Louise Parker. She was an avid traveler, hiker, and sports enthusiast.
Graveside funeral services will be Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:30 at Fairview Cemetery, Dyersburg, conducted by Brother David Brooks.
Pallbearers will be Chase Bartlett, James Moore, Rodney Curtis, Tony Brimm, Kenny Curtis and Lynn Parker. Brad Fuller will be serving as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 at the funeral home.
She is survived by a son Tracy King and wife Michelle; a daughter Tina Boucher and husband Jeff, all of Dyersburg; her companion David Strong of Dyersburg; two brothers: Babe Parker of Newbern and Larry Parker of Paris, TN; three sisters: Sharyn Sparks of Newbern, Nora Brimm and Juanita Curtis of Dyersburg; one grandchild: Jeffery King of Dyersburg; three great-grandchildren: Kaeli King, Mia King and Asher King.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years Clayton “Jake” King and her brother Odell Parker.
