Mamie Lee McDonald

Mamie Lee McDonald, 96, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation.  Born December 23, 1919 to the late Abe and Nora Lee Chadwick Sutton,           she was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, August 12, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, conducted by Brother Nathe Ozment.  Interment will follow in Sorrell’s Chapel Cemetery.               

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

The family will receive friends Friday morning beginning at 9:30 am until service time at the church.

She is survived by six daughters, Linda McDonald, Kathy Mullinix, both of Dyersburg, J. Marie Stephenson of Jackson, Betty Lawson of Indianapolis, IN, Laura Roofener of Arlington, Juanita Fay Wilson of Gadsden; four sons, Harold McDonald, Larry McDonald both of Halls, Huey McDonald and Henry McDonald, both of Florida; 29 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McDonald; one daughter, Lura Smith, two sons, Robert McDonald, Richard McDonald and one brother, Leroy Ham.

The family requests memorials be directed to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 2728 Unionville Road, Halls, TN 38040.
