Lyvenia Davis Sherrod

Lyvenia Davis Sherrod, 89, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. Born October 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin and I.Z. Bishop Bradley. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Mac Daniels with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.   

Pallbearers will be Joey Fortner, Tony Kindle, David Allen, Ben Allen, Johnny Bobo and Jimmy Holden. Honorary pallbearer will be Gene Hall and Tom Hall.

The family will receive friends Friday morning beginning at 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

She is survived by her two sons, Jackie Lynn Davis (Paula) of RoEllen community, John Franklin Davis (Doris) of Unionville; two sisters, Jois Yarbro (L.P.) of RoEllen, Aleatha Kay Walker (Jerry) of Lenox; three grandchildren, Jason Davis, Melinda Davis, Holly Fortner; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Edward Davis and Albert Lee Sherrod;  one sister, Rachel Johnson; and two grandchildren, Kerry Franklin Hurst and Elonda Michelle Davis.
