Mozelle Ellis Bivens Veal

Mozelle Ellis Bivens Veal, 90, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Center in Martin.  Born March 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Gertrude Ellis. She was a retired dietician and attended Southside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Graveside at Fairview Cemetery conducted by Reverend J.R. Hall. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Geraldine Lacy Bivens of Union City; two grandchildren, Cindy Black (Alan), Teresa Breeden (Mark), both of Union City; five great-grandchildren, Jeramy Black, Samantha Black, Madison Breeden, Elizabeth Breeden, Lillian Breeden; two great-great-grandchildren, Haley Daniels and Macey Rose Black.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Bivens and Robert Joe Veal, Sr.; her son, Dempsy Roy Bivens; two sisters, Catherine McBride, Johnnie Clark; and five brothers, Clyde Ellis, Carl Ellis, Glen Ellis, Kenneth Ellis and F.M. Ellis.
