Robert Donovan Chesser

Robert D Chesser, 63, of Dyersburg, passed away on January 10, 2017 in Columbia, Mo.

Visitation will be 12-4pm on Saturday, January 21st with a cremation memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg.

Graveside visitation and memorial will be held at 12-1pm Sunday, January 22nd at Bowlin Cemetery in Dresden, TN with interment to follow.

"Chesser" was born in Saint Joseph, Mo to Robert Edward Chesser and Lillie Leona Kinman on May 31, 1953. He graduated Central High School in Saint Joseph in 1971 before joining the US Air Force where he actively served until retiring in 1992. He then worked for the State of Tennessee at Northwest Correctional Complex and retired as a correctional officer after nearly twenty years.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Debbie Fields Chesser, father Bob Chesser and wife Sybilla, mother Lillie Kinman and husband Glenn, an infant brother and sister, sister Debbie, and brother Ronnie.

 He is survived by his sons, Charles Chesser and wife Carrie of Jackson and Jeff Chesser of Union City, stepsons John Thomas Wilson and wife Olivia of Newbern and Charles Eric Wilson of Newbern, sister Pamela Chesser of Saint Joseph, MO, and brother Jimmy Chesser of Independence, MO, grandchildren Matthew and Tyler Chesser of Union CIty and Riley Gammons of Newbern, niece Larissa, nephews Ryan and Brandon, and great niece Taylor and son Carter.
