Bettie Sue Leonard

Bettie Sue Faulkner Leonard, 72, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her residence.   Born May 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late L.D. Sr. and Helen Marie Prater Faulkner. She was retired County Service Manager with Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council and a member of Burrus Chapel Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Burrus Chapel Church of Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Don Reel and Reverend Jerry Leggett with interment to follow in Keefe Cemetery.   

Pallbearers will be Jerry Simmons, Brent Work, Ken Hogg, Andy Crews, Jimmy Simmons and Kendall Salmon.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tony White, Jeff Martin, and the Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 6th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the church.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Wayne Leonard of Tiptonville; and three sisters, Martha Wiley, Catherine Mayhall, both of Union City, Freda Sturgis (Larry) of Jackson.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Wayne Leonard; one sister, Justa Johnson and two brothers, Robert Joseph Faulkner and L.D. Faulkner, Jr.
