Peggy Fowler McBride

October 6, 1942 — March 6, 2017

Peggy Fowler McBride, 74, of Obion, TN died peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017, at The Bridge of Ridgely.  Born October 6, 1942, she was the daughter of Annie Lorene Sims Fowler and the late Junior Fowler. She began her career in April, 1967, and retired in January, 2005, after 38 years of dedicated service as manager of Patient Financial Services at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare.  Mrs. McBride attended River of Life Church of God of Prophecy.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Clayton Mahan and Reverend Paul Adams with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery.   

 

Pallbearers will be Roger Jordan, James Sims, Randy Chertow, Gerald Brandon Bo Truett and Truman Prince.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 9th beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

 

She is survived by her husband, Waddell McBride; one daughter, Rebecca McBride Chertow (Randy) of Memphis; one son, David Evans (Toni) of Memphis; her mother, Lorene Maddox of Ridgely; one step-daughter, Regina McBride Martin (Bill) of South Fulton, TN; one step-son, John McBride  of Union City; three sisters, Beverly Chandler of Bartlett, TN, and Brenda Prince (Truman) and Deborah Wood (Ronald), both of Obion; two brothers, Norman Fowler (Louise) of Middleton, TN and Michael Fowler (Helen) of Memphis; one grandchild, Sophie Chertow; and four step-grandchildren, Jason Owens, Tammy Owens, John Wesley McBride, Anna Marie McBride.

 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Wayne Fowler, infant Thomas Harold Fowler; and her step-father, L.B. Maddox.

 

The family would like to acknowledge the staff of The Bridge at Ridgely and Aseracare Hospice for their compassionate care, guidance and devotion.

 

The family requests memorials be directed to River of Life Church of God of Prophecy, 312 Church Street, Ridgely, TN  38080.
