George Wallace Luckett

George Wallace Luckett, 77, of Dyersburg, died May 9, 2017 at his residence. Born January 15, 1940, he was self-employed mason and truck driver.  He was a member of Independent Free Holiness Church.                                    .   

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Calvin Smith with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.                  .   

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Smith, Tommy Roper, Steven Spires, Joe Smith, Steve Webb and Zack Roper.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 11th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.                                    

He is survived by one daughter, Tracy Ward of Kingsport; one son, James W. Luckett (Naomi) of Church Hill; one brother, Don Luckett of Dyersburg; one step-daughter, Debbie Byrd of Newbern; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Patterson Luckett; his son, David Luckett; his parents, Robert Bruce and Nannie Leona Daniels Luckett; two sisters, Doris Vogt, Joyce Luckett; and five brothers, Richard Luckett, Lewis Luckett, Jr. Luckett, Jerry Lynn Luckett, James Luckett and a brother raised with them, Tim Luckett.
