Peggy Jean Sexton, 73, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born July 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Houston and Noba Burkeen Sexton. She was disabled and a member of Northside Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Travis Davison with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lanny J. Tidwell, Kevin Tidwell, Billy Garrison, Brandon Rudd, Denver Bennett and Kaleb Strickland.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 15th beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Tidwell of Dyersburg, Cheryl Cook (Kevin) of Horn Lake, MS; her son, Lanny Tidwell (Melody) of Halls; eleven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Minnie Armstrong, Pauline Burkeen, Sue Hendrix and Helen Wright.
