Madie Mai Climer

Madie Climer, 77, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at her residence.  Born December 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late L.J. and Cora Ann Tate Howard.  She was a homemaker and member of The Church of Jesus Christ.                                    

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ on Hamer Road conducted by Pastor Jerry Stafford with interment to follow in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.                     

Pallbearers will be Tim Haynes, William Climer, David B. Climer, Steven Daniels, Jimmy Climer, Blake Haynes, Hunter Lyles, Tyler Climer and Destin Gourley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 27th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the church.                                    

She is survived by her husband, Pete Climer; five daughters, Edna Gibson (Dale of Fouke, AR, Cathy Tate, Brenda Davis (Andy), Joan Climer (Eugene Kempfer), all of Dyersburg, Cynthia Haynes (Rickey) of RoEllen; two sons, William Paul Climer (Karen) of Dyersburg, David Lynn Climer (Teresa) of Newbern; one sister, Minnie F. Zaricor of Dyersburg; three brothers, James Howard (Pat), Walter Howard (Goldie), Joe Howard, all of Dyersburg; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Ray Howard, L.J. Howard, Jr. and her grandson, Drew Christopher Climer.
