Mary Frances Hendren, 90, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active member of XYZ Seniors. Mrs. Hendren was a longtime hospital volunteer, member of the Senior Circle, an avid bowler and card player. Born February 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Grace Blackburn Bell. She was retired after 44 years at Dyersburg Fabrics.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mike Hickman with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
Dennie Pylent, Tim Koonce, Jon Walter, Ron Butcher, Jerry Barber and Donald Adkins will be serving as pallbearers.
The Hendren family will receive friends Friday morning, October 6th beginning at 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie H. Beckett (Ronnie) of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Tracye Pylent (Dennie) of Newbern, Shellye Koonce (Tim) of Dyersburg, Scot Beckett (Jennifer) of Greer, SC, Heather Hendren-Cholewa (John) of Woodbridge, NJ; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hendren was preceded in death by her son, David Alan Hendren; two sisters, Loudean Barber, Louise Barber; and one brother, J.P. Bell.
