Dixie M. Anderson

Dixie M. Anderson, 98, of Dyersburg, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation.  Born January 19, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Lizzie Presley.  She was a homemaker and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.                                      

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Lynn King and Barry Presley with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Barry Presley, Mike Presley, Trent Presley, Tim Bivens, Grover Westover, and Scott Stoots will serve as pallbearers.  Her grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 18th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.                                    

She is survived by three sons, Stan Anderson (Barbara) of Halls, Terry Anderson (Joan) and Gerry Anderson (Beverly), both of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren, Mitch Anderson, Carol Anderson Smith, Rusty Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Codie Anderson, Kenneth Higdon, Le Ann Sowell; and several great-grandchildren.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Anderson; her son, Larry E. Anderson; one sister, Frances Collier; and two brothers, Adron Presley and Jerry Presley.     

The family requests memorials be directed to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
