William Henry Leland

William Henry Leland, 80, of Tiptonville, TN, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at this residence. Mr. Leland was the son of the late John Samuel and Bertha Ashmore Leland.  He was a river boat captain and an Army Veteran.

Memorial services for Mr. Leland will be held by the family at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Wynnburg Baptist Church in Tiptonville conducted by Brother Terry Council.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon, at the church, prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Prather Leland; one daughter, Vicki Riley (husband Tony); three sons, Micky Leland (wife Tammy), Ricky Leland (wife Angie), and Nicky Leland (wife Donna) all of Tiptonville; one sister, Bess Perkins (husband Herman) of South Haven, MS; one brother, Malcolm Lanier (wife Reba) of Bass Springs, TN; 14, grandchildren; and 6, great-grandchildren.
