John R. Viar

John R. Viar, 58, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.  Born July 21, 1959, he was the son of the late Burl Lamar and Alma Ardell Seratt Viar.  He was a forklift technician at the Lilly Company.                                       

Funeral services will be Graveside at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 officiated by Brother Jerry Floyd. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.                            

Tommy Taylor, Kyle Seaton, Anthony Copeland, John Roberts, Ken Coday and Jonathan Anderson will serve as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends Friday, June 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Viar; his daughter, Ashley Corbin (Scottie) of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Hannah Pollock, Katlyn Pollock, McKinly Corbin; four sisters, Joy Bumpious (Randall) of Charlotte, NC, Brenda Thurmond of Destin, FL, Luna Bell Gaskins (Claudie) of Dyersburg; Faye Porter of Humboldt; two brothers, Cecil Viar (Shirley) and Donald Viar, both of Dyersburg.
