James Lewis Drummond, 86, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. Born December 2, 1931 to the late Jessie Max and Sarah Frances Devasier Drummond, he was a truck driver with Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was a Baptist.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery officiated by Reverend Brent Pierce.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 7th beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Charlotte Drummond; one daughter, Ellen Street of Poplar Bluff, MO; two sons, Thomas Herrington of Holcomb, MO, Douglas VanVacter (Tracy) of St. Roberts, MO; five grandchildren, Bradley VanVacter, Scotty Street, Tasha Street, Alyssa Herrington, Rusty VanVacter; and five great-grandchildren, Marissa VanVacter, Madison VanVacter, Maci VanVacter, Seth Hayes and Elsa Hayes.
