Rachella Stegall, 76, of Ridgely, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at her residence. Born December 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Maggie Jones Duff. She was a member of Wynnburg Baptist Church and a retired cook at Lake County High School.
Graveside funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 at New Haven Cemetery officiated by Reverend Rick Burton.
Jimmy Stegall, Caleb Whitter, Steve Turner, Stacey Burpo, John Burpo and Joe Bell will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 16th beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home.
She is survived by husband of 53 years, J.W. Stegall; son-in-law Kevin Whitter of Tiptonville; sister, Loretta Burpo of Union City; grandson, Caleb Jared Whitter of Boston, MA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda Whitter; two sisters, Helen Hendrix, Paulette Melton and one brother, George Duff, Jr.
The family requests memorials be directed to American Cancer Society/Relay for Life or Gideons.
